I couldn't help but stop and think to myself what is happening to the world and how sad it is. Here are two children of the same age, most likely from the same block, waiting for the same bus, going to the same school - uttering not a word.
"Oh the places we'll go" - perhaps we better check back in with Dr. Seuss.
Indeed, great points and one that I think of often. The days of meeting the neighborhood kids @ the bus stop at 7:05 am has been replaced with the bus stopping at literally every driveway even if the driveways are 50 yards apart. To make matters worse the child is sitting in an SUV with his parent and they are both staring at their cell phones hoping for a message,,a sign, a something. What has happened?
